Great food and a fun atmosphere. Got introduced to some real southern food that you just don’t get up in New York. Can’t wait to come back

It was our first time and it was lovely! The server quickly offered us fried green tomatoes and okra, which I didn't know was a freebie! Then the roll guy came around... we'd seen the neon outside, "throw'd rolls," but I wasn't actually expecting him to throw it at me! I remember the food before being a lot better, the gravy was Nasty, and the chicken fried stake was cold. And the restaurant was actually not very full on a Friday night so idk if I would ever go back ☹️
Got the all you can eat 6oz steak and popcorn shrimp. Salad was good, potato was good, muffins and rolls good. Put the popcorn shrimp was nasty, treated like chemicals it very old cooking oil. Waitress was nice, muffin guys were nice. Place was quiet.
Well waitress got our order wrong but she made up for that. Then they delivered someone else’s food to our table. Then about 25 minutes later we finally got ours. My meatloaf looked like it’d been under a heat lamp for a while. We just packed everything up and left. After being there almost 1&1/2 hrs we were tired and ready to go. Don’t know why we keep trying to give them “another chance “
Growing up in the area this place was go in the past. The server was over worked and had a lot of tables. The food came out cold. We never got a refill on our teas or water for our child. Building was stuffy and fans were off. Manager would not listen to complaints about food and service.
