About this business

Along with the attentive service, the decor is what rivals the food presentation at Portofino, with a dining room that features breathtaking cathedral-like floor-to-ceiling round windows. Meals are served on pristine white plates over crisp white tablecloths, leaving the focus on the menu. Though the list changes regularly, the flavor is intact making it exciting for the diner. Pair your meal with a wine from their acclaimed wine selection.

Always Great – This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. I have been many times over the years, and whether I am sitting inside or outside, I always have a great time. The food is consistently above average, and the wine list always has something interesting. I like the new monthly regional menus as it always gives me something new to order. Everyone I know eats here.

awful – first of all, our food was served cold. second of all, we had to call for the management to replace our food with hot food. third of all, they probably didn't care and placed it in the microwave. they should have given us a discount as a result of the POOR service, but they did not. plus, when the waiter described the entres, he couldn't pronounce the italian correctly like the staff has in previous visits to this restaurant and was extremely unprofessional and was like "and something like that" when he described the... read more

Italian-informed American cuisine, reasonably priced and served in a laid-back atmosphere. – The Scene Mere blocks off Buckhead's powder keg crossroads lies this rustic yet refined retreat. Its attentive staff knowledgably navigates the extensive wine selection and fields tables personably without being intrusive. Warm, neutral-toned dining rooms cradle colorful details, reflecting the approach to cuisine. A long nook offers an inviting bar, there's a fireplace for chilly nights, and warm months bring coveted patio dining. T... read more

Great Find! – Fantastic experience, right down to the wine suggestions. My steak was perfectly cooked and they even allowed me to sub out potatoes for pasta. When in Rome...! I sat at the bar and enjoyed myself immensely. I look forward to taking friends the next time around. Thank you Trevor! :)

who reccommended this place? – i had heard some good things about this restaurant but can't quite remember their source...good thing too, because i would have sent THEM our bill. from the apex of poor service to bland and tasteless food selections, my glass of wine was the highlight of my dinner experience here.

Nice Surprise – We were stunned to find such a charming restaurant just around the corner. Great wines, no attitude, pleasant staff, satisfying food.

I Love This Place – The food is great. The atmosphere makes you feel relaxed and a bit festive. Within two weeks I've been four times with different friends and it's been better every time. Vincent, at the bar, makes it worth the trip alone.

Not pretentious, but... – I wish it was better than it was. Veal scallopini was really, truly, bland. Had to ask for salt to liven it up -- tasted like it was breaded in matzo meal. Butternut squash soup was lukewarm. The service was extremely cheery and friendly and I didn't have the heart to tell her that the food was really bleh. The recommended creme brulee -- shame on the kitchen for sending it out. It was cold on the inside and charred on the outside and tasted burnt. Again, excellent service, inexpensive wine list, gr... read more

West Coast Feel – Unpretentious restaurant with genuinely friendly staff. Outstanding wine list offering tremendous value. Consistently good food at reasonable prices. I would not pick Portofino as one of the best restaurants in town, but it is one of my favorites.
