Great place for a glass of wine after work – I don't know about you, but when I get off after a long day at the office, sometimes I just want to relax with a glass of wine before I head home for the evening. Simply Awesome! – This place pulls off the whole elegant-but-cozy vibe perfectly! It has the feel of a family-owned restaurant but it's right in the middle of buckhead! I was skeptical at first, (not really a fan of Italian) but I have been converted!! Great lunch spot! – This restaurant is right around the corner from my office, so it's really convenient for lunch. They have this great menu where you can pick three selections from a long list of items, so you can get a different combination every time and they're all fantastic. They also have several pasta dishes and salads. Every once in awhile, I'll also sneak a glass of wine, they have quite a selection to choose from.
Excellent Italian Place – I went there for my work Christmas party and had a BLAST! The food was AWESOME and our server suggested some wines to go with our food that were PERFECT. We even got our own private room for the party!
Exceeded our expectations in every respect – We arrived early, around 6:30 on Friday. The place was busy but not packed, and we got a table without any waiting. The waiter was very friendly and funny and prompt with our first round of drinks. My only gripe is that another table was seated next to us with a very loud baby. Love this restaraunt – With the economy the way it is, we don't get out as much as we used to, But when we do dine out, this is where we go. We've celebrated our last 4 anniversaries here. The food and service are top-notch and make us feel at home, but without the need to cook or do dishes. :-)
Always a great time – My husband and I used to dine at Portofino all the time until we moved away from Atlanta a couple years ago. Recently, we were back in the city and decided to go back. The best thing about this restaurant is that even though the menu had changed completely, the food was just as good as we'd remembered. It is rare, even for the best restaurants, to be so consistently enjoyable, and yet we have never had a bad meal there.
Awesome Wine List – I'm certainly no expert on wines, but over the last few years I've started to develop an appreciation for all the things that can be done with grapes. Cozy Atmosphere – My wife and I have been dining here for years and have always enjoyed the the experience, we even held my father's 70th birthday party for about thirty people at Portofino.
