Along with the attentive service, the decor is what rivals the food presentation at Portofino, with a dining room that features breathtaking cathedral-like floor-to-ceiling round windows. Meals are served on pristine white plates over crisp white tablecloths, leaving the focus on the menu. Though the list changes regularly, the flavor is intact making it exciting for the diner. Pair your meal with a wine from their acclaimed wine selection.

Friendly Bartender, Great Food! – Took a couple of colleagues out for a business dinner. The bartender recommended a Zinfandel with a spanish name that was awesome. The pork chop was perfectly tender, and my coworkers enjoyed their veal and fish as well. The pricing was very reasonable: $120 for starters, dinner, and wine for the 3 of us. This is a great setting for a relaxed business dinner.
Great local restaraunt – We were visiting Atlanta and staying at the St Regis, when we stumbled across Portofino within walking distance of our hotel. Our server seemed very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine list and helped us pick the perfect wines to go with our dinners, which were delicious. We will definitely be back next time we're in town!!
Bad food and service – My husband and I had dinner here over the weekend. Not good. Our food tasted "old" and the service was slow. The place was not busy (now we see why) yet it took about 15 for a few glasses of wine. We won't be back. We will stick to the real restaurants.
Awful Crap – We had friends in from new york over the weekend. It was THE WORST DINNER WE EVER FORCED INTO OUR MOUTHS. W Who ever is in charge of this sad example of food.....get with it ok.
I'm Hooked – I found a Portofino certificate in my Welcome Mat packet and thought that I would give it a try. I sat at the bar and had a few appetizers and some wine, and I had the best evening. I had a beet salad and an eggplant parmesan that were both very tasty. Matt, the bartender, gave great wine recommendations, and was very sweet. I was introduced to a couple regulars and even a few servers. I didn't want to leave, but it was a school night. This is going to be my neighborhood haunt.
What a SHAME – My wife and another couple had dinner over the weekend and we all agree, "What a Shame." The waitress didnt know what she was talking about and the food was God-awful. We have been many times in the past and enjoyed this spot. We won't be back any time soon and will be sure to tell friends about the Restaurant that was top notch only a year or so ago. Maybe a new management team came in or the rumors are true and their chef has left. Mr. C
on its last leg ? – myself and my boy toy, another couple and one friend who just showed out of the buckhead blue...anyway....im not sure who took over the management at portofino . But things just are not right...the flights???? The fantastic monthly special. We got salmon that was ...well we thought our salad was a bit "dressed". Our waiter had no idea what planet he was on....another waiter; perhaps Zenny? Took control ov the table. The food was not that great. I'm sorry to say. Mrs. T
Portofino It's a nice comfortable neighborhood restaurant. We enjoy sitting outside on the patio and eating our dinner. The food is sumptuous and the the service is great. Yes I would recommend them.
It may sound good, but its not – My husband found this restaurant on this site and saw that it had a high review. We decided to give it a try. At first site it is in a lovely setting. Going in everybody is very friendly. We decided to sit outside, because it was a beautiful day. Now we also had our 2 yr old daughter with us. They put us in a area with the sun in my daughters eyes, and they have nothing to keep her entertained. That is when we found that this is not a family setting. Nothing on that menu had anything kids wou... read more
