This cozy little spot is the place to come when you just need a burger. Its small size is made even smaller by the influx of hungry folks looking for lunch. After 7p when the business crowds disperse the restaurant is not quite as crowded. Locals have announced the hamburgers to be the best in town. They are served with a baked potato if their large size is not enough to fill you. The attentive staff at Port of Call also serves pizzas, filet mignon, rib eye steak and New York strip.

The burger was sub par, they really need to improve on their cooking. Had better burgers
Really cool atmosphere! Very busy and AWESOME burgers!! Burgers take a little bit but it’s worth it! It’s not a fast food place don’t expect real soon!
Best burger I've ever had. No more has to be said.
If you want a nice thick no frills burger this is the place to go. Simple and delicious (no condiments required). The loaded baked potato is must. The drink was tasty but a bit too strong for me. A charming dive bar off the beaten path. I will certainly be visiting again on my nezt trip to NOLA.
Best burgers in NOLA! Oh and the baked potatoes are fantastic, gotta get it loaded, it's the only way to go!
The wait was ridiculous. The server acted like she was retarded. I ordered a drink. Got charged for it & never got it & had to tell her to take it off or she would have actually charged me for it. Took forever to take our regular drink orders & our food order. Will probably never return. Don’t know her name but the guy cleaning tables (Mikey) I believe his name was , was more help than she was.
I was extremely underwhelmed by the experience. The hamburgers were mediocre, at best. The meat was not seasoned. The joint also suffered from a lack of diverse toppings for the burgers. Bacon and blue cheese were not an option. Additionally, there were no French fries served, only baked potatoes. Baking a potato is not a culinary tour de force! There need to be some changes made to the menu. Add French fried and sweet potato fries. Add some variety to the burgers. But in the end, had the burger itself been good, even withou... read more
I went there for two things: a wonderful hamburger and loaded potato. I was not disappointed! It’s nice when reality meets expectations!
