This cozy little spot is the place to come when you just need a burger. Its small size is made even smaller by the influx of hungry folks looking for lunch. After 7p when the business crowds disperse the restaurant is not quite as crowded. Locals have announced the hamburgers to be the best in town. They are served with a baked potato if their large size is not enough to fill you. The attentive staff at Port of Call also serves pizzas, filet mignon, rib eye steak and New York strip.

Took my family for the first time yesterday for lunch and we all enjoyed it very much. We each got a burger & loaded potato. Will be back. Was about a 30 minute wait but worth it.
Was told it was the best burger in the city. Wasn’t impressed Ate a better burger on bourbon street at a dive bar!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans! !!
We walked past this place about 4 or 5 times and never knew what the smell was until it whipped us into such a frenzy that we *had* to go, and what a treat, amazing and unforgettable food.
Soo good!! Menu is just burgers and steak (literally), but it has to be the best steak I have ever had. It is just a small "hole in the wall" place, but it is a must when you are looking for dinner and a beer at 830p.
