About this business
Ponchatoulas was founded in February 1996, by original owner Johnny Gaudet, who then partnered with Chris Garriga in 2004. With a passion for good food and fun, Gaudet opened the restaurant on the bustling Park Avenue in downtown Ruston. The building housed a fire station in the early 1900's, complete with the big red fire truck and even horse-drawn carriages lining the downtown streets. The food is soo good. has great flavor.. I am big on having to add salt to everything I eat but not here, it perfectly seasoned. The fried pickles are amazing. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. So glad I decided to give this restaurant a try and highly recommend for others to do the same.
The food was and service was exceptional. We will go back.

Friendly Service, Delicious Food, Love the atmosphere! The food is served in large portions and the waiter was very friendly. Awesome drink menu! Definitely would recommend to anyone heading to Ruston and want to try something new!
