He did a robotic surgery on my back. when I spoke to him the first time, I had so much pain that no medication could help. After surgery, I started to walk the next day, went to work on day 3 (he told me to rest at home but I didn't listen!!!?? sh...sh don't tell him I did) I am happy with my choice of doctors Dr. Grover and Dr. Poelstra.
Spine surgeon extraordinaire! Ensures that he does exactly what is needed, no more, no less. Lays out the facts, the options, and then lets you decide on how to proceed. No surgeon can foresee the end result, but his confidence and especially his bedside manner put you at ease in making the correct surgical decision. Friday, one week prior to scheduled surgery, I spoke of the last five weeks of horrible unrelated medical issues. Asked if I wanted to move surgery up three days and I gladly accepted. Flexible.
The office staff were kind and caring. Tamika was excellent. Dr Poelstra was very good as well. Would recommend them.
So this month Dr announced he is leaving to New York .I’m very sad to lose him .He’s knowledge caring overall kindness personality will be a hard to one replace .than you for everything Dr Poelstra NY patients are lucky to have you . Best whishes.. from Ana Vicente
I traveled from Denver, Colorado to Las Vegas specifically for back surgery by Dr Kornelis Polestar. His Robotic Assisted methodology is unique and has no equal in outcomes. I have 3 brothers, all had multiple back surgeries. The oldest was operated on by Dr Poelstra. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, I lived in the Dallas, TX area. While there, I was diagnosed with degenerative disks in my neck and would need repair. My surgeon in Texas is recognized as one of the best. The surgery was postponed due to Covid. Almost two years later, I was experiencing the same symptoms. Dr Poelstra and his assistant Jodi are both very skilled at their jobs. They are thorough in their care for their patients from time you first meet with them through out your total care.
