PNC may be the worst bank for customer service and care. I spent 37 years with the FDIC in various bank supervision roles. My experience are from my own and not related to my role with the FDIC. I’ve been banking with PNC for 20+ years and during that time their ability to care for customers has fallen through the floor. For the second time in approximately 8 months they’ve returned checks I wrote on my PNC account. They charged a late fee on an acct that car was a total loss. I spoke to someone on 10/3/23 that the fee would be waived due to a courtesy since we were waiting on PNC bank for payout summary due from PNC bank on 10/5/23. Now we have interest has accrued. They did not stand behind their word. I paid late fee and interest accured. I will no longer will be a PNC bank customer, I will not and do not want to ever bank with PNC bank again. 1 customer lost on 10/20/23.

I spoke to someone on 10/3/23 that the fee would be waived due to a courtesy since we were waiting on PNC bank for payout summary due from PNC bank on 10/5/23. Now we have interest has accrued. They did not stand behind their word. I paid late fee and interest accured. I will no longer will be a PNC bank customer, I will not and do not want to ever bank with PNC bank again. 1 customer lost on 10/20/23.

The High Interest Savings should be a CD. The interest rate is good but it is very difficult to withdraw funds. I have had multiple transactions cancelled in spite of following the 10k a day limit. They allowed 1 in the last 2 weeks. When closing my account before the end of the month no prorated interest was paid. If I was told the check would be overnighted, instead of taking “up to 2 weeks” I would have waited for my interest.
