I have been with Dr. Gounaris for over 30 some years! During those years, he has shown our pets much love. I cannot say enough about Pleasantville' Animal hospitals staff, especially Dr. Scott and Dr. Becca. I have the utmost respect for them. Professional, courteous, understanding, caring and extremely knowledgeable. They "listen", make you feel comfortable and have saved our two 18 and 19 year old pets lives many many times. We have been visiting this vet practice since we moved to the area in 2002. They are pleasant and compassionate. Dr. G. explains all of the animal care in language I can understand. His staff is always friendly and helpful. We look forward to many more visits for our chocolate lab and calico kitten!
Amazing staff that truly care for you and your fur babies. Dr. Gounaris took my pooch Ruger in immediately to surgery for a rare prolapsed urethra. The staff always call to say everything went well and also call after your pet is home to make sure all is well. Recommend this hospital to anyone. Very family friendly and reasonable and timely.
My Boston Terrier had surgery and stayed for a week with the hospital. The team took such good care of him and didn't mind my daily calls to check on him. Dr. Gounaris spoke with me several times to reassure me that Rosco was doing well. I can't say enough things about the wonderful care I have received for all my dogs!
I noticed a lump on my kitty's right side. Dr. Gounaris recognized it immediately as a vaccine-induced sarcoma. He did an aggressive surgery to remove anything cancerous that he could find. When she wasn't healing properly a couple days later, he trimmed our the necrotic tissue and restitched her are no cost, though I would have given a kidney if I needed to. 14 months later, my kitty is a fine and healthy specimen, and Dr. Gounaris and his staff should be commended for their benevolence.
