Please bring all items freshly washed in either a basket or a box. We buy things that are in good clean condition and that are less than a 1 1/2 old from the original store.

Customer service is awful. Girls chatting with each other ignoring the fact that I am ready to check out, the last 2 times I have brought clothes in they come back crumpled up and tossed back in my basket just letting all the clothes get wrinkled. Never will go back.
I officially give up on Plato's Closet. It's a waste of time and gas money, and will likely make you upset if you ever try to sell clothes there. About a month ago, I tried to bring 3 large bags of clothes to the Appleton location. The sign on the door said they weren't accepting clothes that day so I turned around and went home. I called this morning to make sure they were accepting clothes and the woman said they were. She never mentioned restrictions or bag policies. Stopped there to shop for my son tonight, and it was only 8:20pm. supposed to close at 9, but all lights were off except over register where you could see someone inside. But also open sign was off and door locked.
If you’re wanting to sell clothes, your best bet is Autumn’s Closet or Facebook. Don’t go to Plato’s Closet. They absolutely sucked..such a waste of gas today! They want name brand, good condition, not worn out. That’s what I gave them, they took maybe 5 things out of a full basket! AND they left behind brand new dresses..perfect for Homecoming!
I'm so sick of trying to sell anything here. The lady today told me that they only take things no older than 2 years, as she had 3 items from my basket that I had worn 4 or more years ago. Told me my jeans were not in style and too old when they had been worn once.... also didnt take any lightly worn nike leggings and capris. Absolutely ridiculous.

My boyfriend stopped there yesterday with a box of extra clothes. He appreciated the no-nonsense approach of the employee there. His clothing was valued quickly. A few bucks back in our pocket. We'd stop there again. Thanks.
