Went to sell a hoodie this evening. This hoodie has literally never been worn. It was taken out of the package it was sent in, tried on, didn’t fit, so I took it off. From there it has sat on a shelf in my closet. It was purchased two months ago. And they told me they couldn’t buy it because of it looking WORN? I explained that the fabric comes that way and that it’s never been worn. I don’t understand it?? Y’all have stuff on your racks with stains and holes and looks worn out as all get out?? I am not only a seller to Plato's but also a shopper! David is wonderful, he knows me by name and is always friendly, helpful and recommends items he knows I would be interested in. He always treat my mother and I well when we bring clothes in. Out of all the consignment shops in Hickory.. Plato's seems to have the friendliest staff (for the most part) and is one of the few places I can find items I actually want to purchase in good condition. U all need to get on the same page with your policies. Some of your employees an adds say no holds an then u end up holding things for people. So it should be one or the other. Very confusing for customer. An u all should do payments over the phone so it would make it easier for customers to purchase things if they cant get there right then. If u all do hold shouldnt be no more then an hour not half a day. It would make it easier for customers an thats who u all should think about with style exchange down the road
I’ve sold here since they opened. As long as you are Bringing up to date and popular items you will get reasonable pricing for it. It’s always clean and the employees always greet you friendly. I’ve never had a bad experience here. If they bought every item you “think” is a great item, they would go bankrupt. Be realistic. Anywho! Thanks Platos! Never a bad experience.
