This is a horrible company. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. Placed my order in May. They charged my credit card in May. We didnt hear from them until July when they shipped the order THAT WE NEVER RECEIVED! We called them and asked for a re-shipment. Finally after not receiving anything in September we called asked for a refund. In October that is still not processed and they arent sure when it will be posted! I would give them minus 20 stars if I could. They advertise beautiful, unusual plants and then ship you cheap, worthless "substitutions" and IF you follow all of their stringent return requirements they will refund your purchase price, but NEVER refund the exorbitant shipping you agreed to pay for unique, beautiful plants but would NEVER have agreed to pay for the garbage they sent you. I think this is their actual business plan. I'll bet they never even have the unique plants they advertise. They intend to ship you garbage ... read more

Four Seasons Nursery in Bloomington, IL is problematic when having a problem. I ordered a collection of plants late winter. They arrived in early April during a particularly cold spring in northern Michigan. A note suggested planting immediately, even if cold, which I did - adding extra protection for the cold weather. The ordered plants, Trumpets, were considered annuals for this region. By late May they showed no growth and the sent plants were dead. I asked for a replacement and waited. This place is a rip off. They advertise potted plants and you get a dried up string in the mail that does not live. Two times I got ripped off. Do not order from them. Crooks.

Placed an order May 11, 2020. Charged for the order June 11, 2020. Did not receive order until July 24th, most if it dried out and dead. Asked to cancel order and was told it was too late. Multiple emails were sent with no resolve. Would NEVER order from here again!

I would give them zero stars if I could. I ordered an asian pear tree in early January of 2020. The last frost date in my area is January 28th. After several emails, I finally received the "tree" in May. The tree was damaged in shipping and was just a bag of dried out twigs. Very poor quality packaging. There was no root ball to plant in the ground. I returned immediately with the shipping label as requested in the returns process. I was told that it would take 4 weeks to receive my refund. Farmer Seed and nursery. I had ordered from this company years ago and never had any problem. Things apparently changed a lot. I placed 2 orders with them this year. First order was placed April 18. After a few emails, I received my order 48 days later. I would like to attach the pictures of the plants from my first order, but I don't see the way. Ordered 2 Blue Spruce trees along with other nursery stock from Four Seasons Nursery. They surely packed the trees as dead trees, shipped as dead trees, arrived as dead trees, and were even planted as dead trees, and - yup- they are dead. Except for 2 or 3 plants, everything else arrived dead, even their "free" gifts were shipped dead and were dead upon arrival and are still dead after planting. On 7 Mar 2020, I called and ordered 16 Thursa trees and some strawberry plants. I was forewarned that the trees would not be shipped until after 1 May 2020...great. I was informed that I would get an email when the trees would ship. Great.
