I went to him as a primary dr for a few minor conditions) but my most recent was for a very serious condition, which is majorly mental but has many physical side effects & the nurses were more annoyed at the tests they had to do (sitting AND standing bp/HR, etc.) than understanding and the dr told me what I was doing fine because my vitals were 'fine', whereas I've had multiple other mental health professionals tell me I need residential care urgently. His reaction to my concerns was nonplussed.

As another person reviewed, they terminated my entire family from his practice after 30 years of going to him. I always told my parents we could find better. Not only did he put my father on Xanax for tinnitus for the past 6 years at 1mg a day, but when they were bought out, they refused to fill his RX as they had been, and a week later fired the whole family as patients. My father had a seizure (yes an actual seizure) bc if you know anything about xanax, you have to taper. You can't just say, n

I would recommend Dr. Bates to anyone. He is always available for an appt., is friendly and takes the time to make sure his patients get the appropriate care each time they come in.

I've been going to Dr. Bates for probably about 15 years, albeit infrequently. Turns out my fiancee and her whole family have been seeing him for years too. We all love the guy, and you can tell he cares very much for your well being. He gets an A+++++++++++

I've been a patient for over 5 years and was all good, probably because I was never sick, but when I recently got bronchitis and was under doctor's care, and even after treatment (cough syrup and steroids) did not get better, he should have brought me in to discuss plan of action after my 3rd visit. I then phoned every few days and spoke with his assistant Ashley and said I had severe congestion in my throat and was almost choking, she told me to gargle and take Flonase. My condition worsened.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bates for over 25 years. I even select my insurance carrier based on the insurance he accepts in his practice. Very easy to talk to and very trustworthy. Spends plenty of time listening and providing answers to your health concerns. Always available if an emergency arises and if he's not in the office, his partner Dr. Moran is available, also an excellent physician. Office and physicians are very respectful of your time and don't over-book
