About this business

Since 1753, The Pirate's House has been welcoming visitors to Savannah with a bounty of delicious food and drink and rousing good times. Situated a scant block from the Savannah River, The Pirate's House first opened as an inn for seafarers, and fast became a rendezvous for blood-thirsty pirates and sailors from the Seven Seas. Here seamen drank their grog and discoursed, sailor fashion, on their exotic high seas adventures from Singapore to Bombay and from London to Port Said.

Jorge my husband was inpressed with the ambiance decoration and real live Pirates tell stories and taking pictures with us. Now the food was delicious specially the peacon fried chicken. We had never taste chicken prepared in this manner wow. We also loved the fried green tomatoes infused with cheese incredible. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary this will be a memorable event. Thomas our waitress was wonderful with excellent suggestions. We have informed all our family and friends of this amazing place. Thanks

Worst scampi EVER! Shrimp were like rubber and so over cooked, and they didn't cook the wine off completely - so it tasted like I was eating shrimp flavored hockey pucks floating around in alcohol. No butter flavor at all. Gross!! Husband expected mashed potatoes and got sweet potatoes instead. His trout was good, but not special. Service was mediocre at best. Not their finest hour for sure. We won't be back.

We dined here for lunch and chose to order the lunch buffet. The mashed potatoes were the best I have ever had & the rest of the food was delicious as well. The biscuits they serve are AMAZING! I ordered banana pudding for dessert (included with the lunch buffet, which is very reasonably priced for the amount of food you can eat) it was very good! We loved this restaurant and will definitely be back!

Love the crab soup! And you get a pirate hat. Can I suggest handing out hooks too?

My food was awful my husband's was okay. I asked for a wedge salad and what did I get? Sticks and twigs because they were 'out' of lettuce. Now what restaurant runs out of lettuce at the start of the dinner rush? There were only two things I can say nice about this place, the biscuits were good and they took the salads off the my bill. I would not recommend this place especially with the prices.
