About this business

Since 1753, The Pirate's House has been welcoming visitors to Savannah with a bounty of delicious food and drink and rousing good times. Situated a scant block from the Savannah River, The Pirate's House first opened as an inn for seafarers, and fast became a rendezvous for blood-thirsty pirates and sailors from the Seven Seas. Here seamen drank their grog and discoursed, sailor fashion, on their exotic high seas adventures from Singapore to Bombay and from London to Port Said.

This thing was big as your head. It contained 16 fried shrimp , 16 fried oyster , 4 large bay scallops also fried and 4 large fish fillets and it was covered with French Fries. Amazing first time experience. My sister came into town and this was the first time she met my boyfriend. This was her first time meeting him and he really wanted to make a good impression. He made reservations and she and I were both impressed with the food and the service.

Absolutely delicious and service was great. The gift shop upstairs had something for everyone. The history is also intriguing.

We made reservations ahead of time for our girl scout troop of 12. They were very accommodating especially with having girls with food allergies. The service was great & the food was delicious! Definitely a must see while in Savannah!
