The absolute worse experience ever. Waited 5 hours in pain and still no results. Took blood 3 times. Staff were rude, no empathy, cold, and didnt give a dang about their patients. Finally left, without results and will never go back there again. Went West Shore instead, where they care.
UPMC Harrisburg demonstrated a profound lack of medical oversight and reckless disregard for patient saftey. I was here on an involuntary mental health stay. I was treated absolutely terribly, like an animal not a human. I was treated like I was an annoyance to the staff, not a patient. They provided with me with nothing to do in the intake prison cell, then got upset when I started pacing and walking around due to the serve boredom. Currently at the hospital 6/20/2026, when entering the elevators to proceed to the 6th floor, Mitchell a UPMC employee, entered with a skid of boxes on the patient elevator pushing into my patient feet in a wheelchair. The exchange was not pleasant, my only question is why is he not using a service elevator? To add insult to injury, we went up to 11th floor and my patient had to use the restroom, and an another fully loaded skid blocked the hall to the restrooms. Not had a good experience I was there in emergency last night with my baby , bacause she had a seizure she was keep looking at one side without blinking an eyes with stiff body. And at the place of registration that receptionist was talking and smiling with one visitor And the security guard was scolding us to stand in queue and we had to give a cold sponge to baby to keep lower temperature.I can understand you were doing your job but you also need to see the patient condition ,seeing own baby in that condition is not easy a... read more
