TL/DR: This place isn’t worth the price and has a lot of management problems. The Pier is fine as far as location and the houses go. However, the management ruins the place. There have been several robberies this year which have gone mostly unaddressed with the excuse that the safety of the neighborhood isn’t the responsibility of the management. Changes in management often. The new management will harass you and your guests should you have friends over. We were left without cable for roughly 4 months without any form of compensation or word from management on when the issue would be resolved. The houses are fairly nice, as is the location. It’s a shame the management here makes it not worth the price at all.
This is a “gated community” because they have gates but don’t believe they actually use them. People have been robbed left and right here without any help from the pier nor the police. The pier does have security but they don’t have a phone they regularly answer so don’t count on them either. I do not feel safe here at all.
The pier is a great college living environment with great houses and tons of amenities. 10/10 would recommend
Love this place! Great atmosphere and love living on the lake! The people are great and the staff is awesome and willing to help. The pool is also the best in Clemson!
Lived at The Pier for two years and would 100% recommend The Pier to anyone looking for a great place to live off campus. It's not too far from campus, and you have access to a nice fitness center, pool, basketball court, and the beautiful Lake Hartwell. If you live at the Pier you will not regret it.
This is my second year living at the pier and I love it! My 2 bedroom tiny home is perfect for college living. I enjoy having my friends over at the pool and bringing my dog to the new dog park. Also, the new gym is amazing and has brand new equipment. The staff is always super nice and helpful. I recommend the pier to anyone.
their tiny houses offer students a great option for living alone but still being around so many residents/pets at the same time. Feels like home!
