Dr. Kasow is a very knowledgeable and intelligent doctor. However, my whole 7-minute appointment felt incredibly rushed and as if he was doing me a favor. He used very technical terminology without recognizing that I didn't understand anything he was saying. When asked questions to clarify, it felt like it was a burden for him to have to repeat himself in a different manner. This was my first visit. I chose him because U.S. News rates him highly. I find that he is so enamored with himself, unprofessional and disrespectful that it will be my last visit.
I was not able to reach anyone after my surgery. So if your ok with dealing with any post surgery issues on your own, then he is a good doctor.
Dr. Kasow, his team and the front office staff at Piedmont West are AMAZING! I walked out feeling like I could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Dr. Kasow is very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. He took the time to throughly explain my condition to me and what his recommended procedure would be. He listened and answered every question I asked. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone needing to see an Orthopedic to Dr. Kasow.
He knew what was wrong on his first exam of me. Relief after 18 months of a missed diagnosis and pain. He gave me options and we went from there. He talked TO me, not at me. I trusted him and still do, after eventual surgery.
Dr. Kasow completed a back fusion from L 4-S1. Better results than I could’ve expected. Highly recommend!
I saw Dr. Kasow late last year, and he referred me to a pain clinic for injections. When that treatment was shown to not be effective I scheduled an appointment to see the doctor again. After waiting two hours in their office, at 6 pm, I had to leave, never havig seen the doctor. As I left the office the receptionist agreed to schedule a new appointment - for two months from then! Dr. Kasow explained my mother’s back issues very thoroughly. He answered all our questions and spent a great amount of time with us giving details of her problem. It was a very good visit! I would definitely recommend Dr. Kasow, we drove 1 hour and 20 minutes but it was well worth the drive to see him.
Dr. Kasow is a phenomenol orthopedic surgeon with a fantastic attention to detail. He truly cares about you and will commit to helping you figure out what is causing your specific pain. I wish I could give Dr. Kasow more stars than 5. He is an amazing, caring, warm, and truly attentive doctor. He has so many patients, but he still manages to make you feel like you are the only patient he has. I owe him my mobility today due to his decision to do a microdiscectomy on my L5/S1 disc.
