Great vegetarian options. The best spinach enchiladas in town.
A longtime favorite for our whole family. It IS the "go to" place for all of our out of town family. We have never left disappointed. Wonderful food, service and Margaritas.
Best ceviche I've had in Houston...seriously!
Been stopping here for dinner since the mid 1980's Chiles en Nogada to die for ! Soft shelled crabs in season absolutely the best to ever cross my south Louisiana lips. Filete al Chilpotle Is my "go-to" when the crabs are gone. Camerones Adobados or Chilpotle if you like it "SPICY" and friends rave about the Enchiladas de Mariscos. Great kid selections all the way down to the grilled cheese sandwich. I won't even mention the Margaritas !! Heck they even have items for the "Tex-Mex" folks ... get there early and stay a while.
Pico's is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Even in mid-August the shady patio, with its hanging plants and water feature, feels like a breezy vacation. The food is affordable and delicious, the margaritas are strong and tasty and the brunch is incredible! $5 bottomless mimosas, fantastic migas, terrific service. If you join their club you receive great deals, free champagne on your anniversary, a free entree on your birthday and more.
Better than anything nearby – For the quality of the food, this is the best Mexican place west of Bellaire, It's location brings down rating a notch, but superior food and good drinks make up for that. Prices have gone up. Now in $10 -$15 range, but that's par most most restaurants in last few months. Has entrees not found in most places. Absolutely beats chain restaurants in quality. Has a nice bakery inside. Good wait staff.
Overrated - Above Average But not the best – Although the food was great, the service was not. Long waits take take order, refill drinks, refill chips and salsa, and to pay. The restaurant was comfortable and Mexican style authentic. I would come back but dont think this the best Mexican restaurant in Houston.
Not as good as everyone says – My husband and I go out to eat at least once a week. We tried this based on reviews. The restaurant has a nice ambience and great music. One of the reasons we came was because their mole was highly rated. The first problem was the very slow service. It was one of the longest waits between each visit from the waiter. Now, those who brought the chips and salsa were great and kept us stocked. The mole was far from stellar, which disappointed my husband greatly since he loves mole. My dish was medi... read more
