Stay away from this business. randy will take your money and once he has it will hang you out to dry with no product. Untruthful, deceiving and undependable are just a small dose of what's to come if you do business with these folks. All you will get for your money is frustration and no engine!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

383 Chevy Stroker motor Recently I was in the market for a motor for my latest car project, a 63 Nova Pro Street car. After visiting several other engine building shops in town (which didn't impress me at all) I found out about Phoenix Engine. I went there and talked with Randy the owner. He gave me a personal tour of his facility which I was very impressed with, especially the fact that they have all the equipment to do everything in house. This allows them to be in complete control of the quality of their motors. When my m... read more

I asked around my motor head friends for a company that could help me with a project truck engine.. A friend recommended the guys at Phoenix Engine, and I owe him a case of corona for this great choice.. They helped me from start to finish.. The helpful staff answered all my questions and even let me visit my baby (383 stroker 500hp) as she was being assembled.. The first time I heard her roar on the fast track stand.. I could not wait to put her in the truck.. My 50 chevy truck never sounded so great.. Most important, Phoen... read more

I had been searching for shops in AZ to build an engine for my 1967 Mustang. It didn't help with a lot of the business either closed or going out of business. I was referred to Phoenix Engine from a good friend. Who stated they had 2 engines done by this shop within the last 6 years. So I called and spoke to a gentlemen by the name of Randy. I let Randy know what type of car I had and what would be the best recommendation on a budget. I was sold a Ford 302 - 331HP towards the end of October. In the past few months everyone h... read more

Phoenix Engine is a great old schoolo shop. I've been to the facility first hand and have seen high performance engines running on the stand. I am a repeat customer and recently had them build me a Ford 429-410 Hp for my '69 3/4 ton pick up. Great guys to work with, quality products; the staff are very helpful. Definately recommend these guys to anyone for there performance engine projects.

Phoenix Engine Builders – Agree, VERY BAD SERVICE. Randy is a nice guy until he gets your money, and then you are nothing but a bother to him. He told me it would take 6 weeks to build my 454 BB, it took 15 weeks. When I received it, the oil pan was leaking in three spots. I emailed photos of the pan leaking oil all over my driveway and called numerous times with no luck. They will say,

PHOENIX ENGINE REBUILDERS – Glad I did my homework! I'm very pleased with the engine they custom built for my 1950 Chevy truck. I wanted a 350- 375hp and they worked with me to get the performance and sound I wanted. I am impressed and so are my friends..
