I bought a 3.6 pentastar engine in July, followed their break in instructions and ran it for 1100 mile and cylinder #3 ring broke. Called them and send it back in the beginning of December and they sent a different engine back in the middle of January. Reinstalled engine and had codes of camshaft position, crankshaft position correlation on both banks, called them and they said I had wiring harness issues and said the first engine was my fault that it overheated and scored the cylinders and I was lucky they even sent a new o... read more

Buyer Beware of Phoenix Engine. I bought a 383 stroker motor from Phoenix Engine and paid extra for the upgraded roller rockers. It took over 9 months to build this motor I also paid for the break in service for this motor as well. In less that one thousand miles the the cam bearings failed and I had the motor removed and I took the motor back because it was supposed to be warrantied. Well it turns out ***** the owner blamed it on the install and not his work so I am out thousands of dollars and he never paid me the core cha... read more

Like the other review. DON"T BUY AN ENGINE from this company. It came very late. On that I understand the parts availability on parts was bad. BUT!!! The engine came with heads that were all messed up. Valves were actually scraping the valve guides. It had a leaking rear main seal and another leak up near the flywheel. They did send new heads and took back the bad ones. I told Randy while he was pitching me that the car was a 64 Malibu SS 4 spd power steering . Wrong oil pan my guys had to find the right one. My guys had to t... read more

I purchased a 350 Chevy crate engine from Phoenix Engine, Randy took the time to help me put together the package that would work best for my vehicle and needs. Very happy with the product and the price. Engine runs and sounds great! Highly recommend their fast track break in! It is totally worth it.

DO NOT BUY AN ENGINE FROM THIS PLACE! Horrific customer service, been almost a year since ordering my engine (which took twice as long to receive as I was told) after DOZENS of calls still no build sheet, was promised a video of my engine breakin that I paid $800 for, never got the video, the engine didn’t even run when I got it the timing was so far out, the distributer was never set properly (as it should of been for $800) clearly they charged me and never did the break in, hence not getting the promised video. Just a comp... read more

In 2017 I bought from Phoenix engine their FORD 302 — 300-330hp TURNKEY crate ENGINE for my 1992 F150 Nite to replace the 5.0 multiport EFI engine. My desire was to get more power and not go thru rebuilding. It took a year to make the swap. In the process several problems occurred leading to the suspicion that configuration control at Phoenix was sorely lacking. The problems consisted of the distributor would not work with the supplied manifold, carb and air cleaner. A new distributor had to be purchased and a riser for the ... read more
