About this business

Enjoy a classic Vietnamese fare at Pho Van SE 82nd. Keeping it a family affair, the food comes straight out of a mother's cookbook and is made from authentic ingredients using traditional styles. The menu covers all courses that starts off with appetizers such as Chả Giò Chay that are crispy vegetable rolls or the Tangy Beef salad. Mains are categorized as either with rice or noodles topped off with specials such as Cơm Cà Ri Gà (Vietnamese chicken curry) or Bún Tôm Thịt (ho... read more

Avoid the Pearl District Pho Van – While the Pho Van in SE deserves all the praise it receives, the same can not be said about its Pearl District counterpart, which takes its location a little too seriously. Yes, its in a trendy area of time, but that's no excuse for rude and inattentive service. I would much rather walk a few blocks and go to Beau Thai or Miso Hapi (off 21st and 23rd respectively) then go through the horror of dining at the Pearl District Pho Van again.

good but not cheap – This place is packed always which makes getting your food quickly impossible. The people who work there are wonderful but it is not cheap!! I have only had lunch there and I find it very unreasonable price for lunch.

Great Food – I suggest the rice paper salad rolls, and the pork and shrimp over rice plate!

WHAT THE?! – I Recommend Not Eating Here Because The PRICE Is So HIGH "A BOWL Of PHO Is $6.50-$7.50!!!" The Food LACK Of TASTE And It Was Not Very Good At All. If You Want Good Tasting Food, Try THAI BINH On NE 66th HALSEY (It Sits Next To The PACIFIC MARKET)

Pho Van is fantastic – The service is always a bit slow, but worth the wait. The avocado smoothie is wonderful!

Yummy and cheap – You must try the Pho (noodle soup). I recommend the #8. Also top on my list are the noodle bowls, chicken, pork and shrimp are all quite good.

Only place worth the wait for broth. – If you can get over the long wait times and horrible parking then this place is the best for vietnamese noodle soup. The service was very good and the food is excelent. A mostly asian crowd must mean it's pretty authentic. If you're daring and like spicy stuff Pho Van is the place to eat.
