About this business

Enjoy a classic Vietnamese fare at Pho Van SE 82nd. Keeping it a family affair, the food comes straight out of a mother's cookbook and is made from authentic ingredients using traditional styles. The menu covers all courses that starts off with appetizers such as Chả Giò Chay that are crispy vegetable rolls or the Tangy Beef salad. Mains are categorized as either with rice or noodles topped off with specials such as Cơm Cà Ri Gà (Vietnamese chicken curry) or Bún Tôm Thịt (ho... read more

Remodled and looking good. – This place was remodeled a while back I know but I used to go to this place when it was old and further down on 82nd. It still has the same great taste but now it is alot nice. The pho is great, the creme bruelee is wonderful and the avacado smoothies are great as well. You have to go here if you love vietnamese.

Wonderful! – I love this place! I am very picky when it comes to restaurants. Pho Van is very clean, the food is fresh and always very good. The service is always friendly. NO complaints ever!

Americanized Vietnamese food – Pho Van on 82nd is supposed to be the more authentic Vietnamese restaurant of all the Pho Vans in town, so to call it "pretty damn gross," as a previous reviewer did, seems a bit ignorant. If you want your pretty, sterile, mainstream pan-Asian food, stick with the Pearl version. For those who want the tastier, more authentic Vietnamese cuisine, 82nd will do, but Pho Hung is even better. The Seven Courses of Beef here was actually a little disappointing. When I took my parents here (they're Viet... read more

This SE Portland noodle house brings a bit of trendiness to 82nd Avenue. – In Short This open restaurant features wood-trimmed windows, skylights and bright green ceiling tiles--as well as some of the tastiest noodle soup in the city at rock-bottom prices. Starters spring rolls and salad rolls paired with a traditional peanut sauce that's a bit redder than most. Other delights include rice-flour crepes stuffed with shrimp, pork, mung beans and onions; char-grilled pork loin with pork rind and egg-pork patty; and vermicelli w... read more

Good prices, nice ambiance – Pho Van is one of our favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Portland where we always take our out-of-town guests. Granted, the service at the SE 82nd location can be slow and unattentive sometimes, the prices are great for the food quality as well as the ambiance. The salads and desserts (3-bean dessert) are our favorites and ones of the best we've had at any vietnamese restaurants.

eew! – After many delightful meals at the Pho Van in the pearl, I was excited to head out to the Pho Van on 82nd when a friend suggested it. I was very dissapointed though. The vegetarian menu was even more dismal that that of the location in the Pearl, and what they did have was pretty damn gross (greasy and flavorless). I was also dissapointed that their coconut juice is served in a small glass instead of a whole coconut.

The best Pho in Portland!!!! – Pho Van rules and always has ruled as the best Pho in Portland. I've patronized Pho Van for the past 10 years + , always trying different Pho restaurants as well. I always go back to Pho Van for the best Bung Mang Vit, Beef Soup, Goi Cuon and the plethora of other expertly prepared Vietnamese dishes. The servise is always personable and efficient and the restuarant space is well designed and decorated. The restaurant is always clean and you can't beat the prices!!!!!!!

Try 7 beef courses meal! – my family and I tried 7 beef courses meal and they were all mouth watering! I really loved beef salad and a pot dish with rice papers. Unlike the other Asian restaurants, the interior was very sophisticated and clean. Service was very good and we were full and happy under $50.

Love this restaurant – I always had great food at this restaurant. The "Bun Ga" Honey Lemongrass Chicken with Vermicelli Noodles is my absolute favorite. The price is right too...only 7.00 for the entree. Nice restaurant. Would definitely recommend.
