I am a caucasian female, I recently had a appointment for a massage at Philipe's Spa. When I arrived there was a group of africian american women who were obviously there before me waiting for service. One of the women was celebrating her 50th birthday. I noticed that no one at the front desk paid much attention to them, they weren't asked if they wanted a beverage nor were they escorted to the locker area to change into the robes I know this place provides. I have been frequenting Philipe's Day Spa for years and I love their professionalism, tranquil atmosphere, and quality of the services that they provide. I always leave feeling relaxed and renewed! Linda A. does an amazing job on my brows, without fail, every single time!

Unfortunately- I cannot recommend this spa. My very first experience was negative. There are too many day spa's that provide better service and LESS disappoint. I had booked an appointments months in advanced only to be told it could not be accommodated.

Disappointed CONSUMER BEWARE- Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this business. I had booked 2 appointments months in advance only to be told they could accommodate only 1 appointment. My sister and I wanted to get massages together to celebrate our weddings. Thanks to Philipe's this was ruined. I will never recommend this spa to anyone. We were both very disappointed.

Philipes Day Spa I would like to say that I just came back from this spa and it was nothing like I thought it be. I went on line and I checked out what others was saying and they were about to scare me away. So when I went inside the ladies at the front desk they were so nice to me. It smelled good there and it looked good inside. So I want to say to those that want to go to a spa and never been like me this is the place. Ups and Downs – Read through 33 reviews as well as visited myself. Philipes is one of the oldest spa's in Indy and at one point it set the bar for high standards, expectations and service providers. Over the years this spa has gone down hill and lost its luster, once management changed hands the quality of services has changed drastically and the professionalism has diminished. Don't Understand? – I have been to this spa several times. I do not understand what everyone is complaining about. I see that most of the negative comments are from years ago, so perhaps things have changed, but I always have a nice time. While I think the place could use a little updating, I understand that they are corporately owned and that may be why this is not done. It is what you make it!! – I have been a client with Philipes for many years now. Actually, my mom and I both have been clients- and we have never been unsatisfied with our services. We have experienced everything from the waxing to the massages and everyone has always been helpful, informative and willing to accommodate whatever is asked of them. I love this spa I think this spa has it right! All the service providers have great knowledge of products and services. They always remember me when I come in and make me feel very special. The front desk staff have never been snobby and are actually more accomodating than most places I have been to. I have been going to Philipes for about a year now and recommend it to all my friends and family, and in fact they all got gift cards for Philipes this Christmas! I will not go any where else!
