I had a series of 3 once a week Brachytherapy Radiation treatments. Dr Shrake and his Nurse, Natalie gave me a detailed explanation of how the procedure was done. Natalie, my nurse, was with me during the entire visit each time making sure I was comfortable, didn't need anything and not left waiting alone in a room on an exam table. I have never had a more compassionate, attentive Medical team for a procedure.
Dr Philip Shrake is an excellent doctor with a good bedside manner and a great support team making a visit to his office a very pleasant experience. I would recommend Dr Shrake to anyone who has prostrate cancer because he explains everything clearly and is not pushy but makes recomendations only based on the individuals.

I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and I was referred to Dr. Shrake for treatment. He and my urologist performed seed implant surgery and three weeks post-surgery I went to Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia for 35 external beam radiation sessions. When I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, I was referred to Dr. Shrake by my urologist to learn more about radiation therapy. I went in with prostate cancer and, three months later, came out totally cured! He is a great guy, but his staff is the best part of his practice! Dr. Shrake and his entire staff made us feel like we were family. They not only treated me with kindness and compassion but also my family members who came with me to treatments. Dr. Shrake and his Lawrenceville facility treated me for prostate cancer in 2009. Since then I have had annual appointments with him to followup on my condition. From the beginning Dr. Shrake was very professional with me, answered all my questions, and made me feel that he took a personal interest in my condition.
