My insurance denied a PET scan order and the doctor refused to perform the pier review appeal to have the decision reversed. I tried to contact him but he refused to speak with me, he always had his staff call me. His reason was "They never reverse thier decision". I submitted the appeal and the decision was reversed in 2 weeks. By then I had a new doctor.
Dr. Shrake is patient, listens and exact with answers. He presents the technical issues in layman terms and insures your understand before moving forward. Dr. Shrake cares about the patient and his calm manager defuses fears and uncertainty. Bottom line, Dr. Shrake is an excellent physician.

Great treatment! Dr. Shrake and staff are the best. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking treatment.
I had prostrate cancer. I spent 3 months with Dr. Skrake through seed implant surgery and radiation therapy. I had very little pain and very thing went smoothly. All staff members were very professional and friendly. Would recommend he and his staff to all.

Dr. McElveen was my radiation oncologist for breast cancer treatment. She was sensitive to my needs and concerns. When I had questions, she always listened and took care of my needs. Dr. McElveen kept her office open during the pandemic with stringent guidelines for safety. Her nurses, techs, and office staff made me feel comfortable and taken care of during this difficult time. I would recommend Dr. McElveen to anyone who needs her service.

I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. McElveen by another doctor. Dr. McElveen spent plenty of time with me and answered all my questions using terms I could understand. She took the time to fully explain my condition and offered very thorough descriptions of options for next steps. 6 weeks of Radiation treatment for Prostate Cancer. Dr. Shrake was very information about all processes - Staff was friendly and the technicians doing treatment were very considerate. Wait times for treatments were at a minimum and weekly follow up by Dr. Sharke was thorough. Highly recommended!!
