Mix and match items from the creative menu at this romantic bistro, which features American food with a twist. You first pass under an American flag and then enter the dining room walking past photos of regulars and the staff. Standard rosemary chicken gets a touch of salsa and barbecued ribs are topped with peach and mango relish. Diners favor the overstuffed Chicken Potpie and the grilled Mile High Sirloin Steak. The bar is always jumping.

great martinis – Martini Madness menu with out-of-this-world cocktails rocks!!! My favorite are Chocolate Raz and Banana Squirt and the Cotton Candy martini.
Awesome Brunch! – Philip Marie has an amazing brunch menu and the food is so delicious! The atmosphere is wonderful and staff is very friendly. Philip Marie was a pleasurable dining experience and we look forward to coming back! Dinner at Philip Marie will probably be our next visit, the dinner menu looks very good. I like how their specials are updated on their website too!
Another GREAT brunch! – Ive been back for brunch a few times and each time is just as great of an experience as the last. I prefer the Unlimited Mimosa special on Saturdays. The waitstaff is always friendly and accommodating. Never an empty glass on the table. I HIGHLY recommend this joint!
Perfect date spot – This quaint restaurant located in the lower west side is the perfect place to bring a date. I would recommend this establishment to anyone and everyone. Large, comprehensive wine list, great food and the service was awesome. Not many downsides to Philip Marie.
Solid Neighborhood Restaurant - A Keeper – Well girlfriend, it was another Thursday and we chose Philip Marie as our place for drinks and starters. This was a good choice. Firstly, the barkeep was friendly and invited us in, making us feel perfectly at home. We came before it became crowded and so we had him to ourselves, however, he was still very attentive even as the restaurant filled up. Clearly a popular place. And we could see why. We had 2 plates: the smoked salmon with goats cheese on toasts was a winner. Simple and ... read more
Great Service! – While waiting for a table near by we discovered Philip Marie... Good wine list, great service! If we didn't have to meet folks elsewhere I would have loved to stay for dinner. Definitely on my list of places to return to.
Awesome Wine Room – Last week my boyfriend took me to Phillip Marie for our one year anniversary. We dined in their private wine room in the lower level of the restaurant. We had five courses, and each was paired with a different wine. Our server guided us through the whole meal and was very knowlegable. The courses were varied and paired very well with the wine. My boyfriend and I have both traveled to Napa and we were impressed by the selection of California wines. The lighting in the room was a little too dim and romantic... read more
Always wonderful!!! – I've been to Phillip Marie for dinner, for lunch, for brunch, and for a large party special occasion. In every case, the service was friendly but unobtrusive, the ambience was pleasant and the food was impeccable. They manage to accomplish all this without robbing you blind. Sure it's not super-fine dining, but this is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC nonetheless. If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd be there at least 3 times a week. Fantastic!
Stay away from the couples private room – My husband and I opted for the couples private room dinner (wine room) for our anniversary and it was such a waste of money. The place was so cramped and hot and suffocating. People kept coming down to the bathroom, which was right next to our room, and standing in the doorway peeking in. It was not romantic, but instead irritating and annoying. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. It's a nice idea but it does not work well.
