Your billboard regarding diabetes is ridiculous. You do know there are different types right? Either way, what a tasteless way to display whatever message you are trying to convey... btw...you can not prevent type 1 diabetes, I wouldn't know that if I went by your sign...nothing like perpetuating ignorance.

There is a difference between Type 1 amd Type 2 diabetes. My child's disease is not a scare tactic. He didn't ask to be diabetic and SHAME ON YOU for using it as such!!! Your billboard is saying all diabetes is the same and its not!! My son and many others did nothing wrong to get a life long disease.

Please consider changing the wording for your diabetes campaign. My son and I are both Type 1. We did not become diabetic by anything we ate. In fact we are both thin and active. He shouldn’t have people lecturing him about his diet or sugar causing his diabetes. Signs like yours only make this harder for us.

Also, type 2 diabetes isn’t simply caused by an after-school snack. “Today’s snack could be tomorr... read more

This Department has turned their Facebook page into a political page. They delete comments critical of them and block taxpayers; who pay their salaries, BTW. Once again, Philadelphia proves they have a disdain for constitutional rights.
