Great, Just plain great – Started going to Petrillo,s in 1966 when I was in High School. Food is great,service stinks I mover all over So.Calif. and still went back for its great food.Now I live in Woodland Park Colorado and fly back to LA every 90 days,get my business done and go over for dinner. Service was great in the 70s and 80s but went down hill after that. But thats true for most places today. Enjoy your food, just IGNORE ALL the services!! – I have been to this restaurant many times both for dine in and take out. I have to agree that the food is very well prepared and it is worth the try BUT the service is terrible. The "girls" got the most sour face you ever want to see when you walk inside both the restaurant and at the take out; they just look like they're better off at a party. The large pizza is very large – As far as pizza goes, this pizza here is pretty good. It is good enough for me to drive 40 minutes to an hour for it. It was good enough for me to return 3 times so far and I will keep on going back for more.
THERES NO PIZZA LIKE THIS... IT'S THE BEST. – MY FAMILY LIVED IN SAN GABRIEL FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS. AND SINCE I WAS LITTLE WE HAVE ALWAYS EATEN PIZZA AT PETRILLOS. Great Pizzza, Has Traveled international – My children are originally from San Gabriel and now living in England. On a recent trip my childrens first request was to bring a "large" Petrillo Pizza. Owner Reggie was extremly helpful in packaging a cooked product so we would not loose the product. Talk about happy kids. What is the hype about? – I told some friends I was working in San Gabriel and they went nuts, telling me stories about driving for hours to get Petrillo's pizza. Well I had to try it. The take out are is seperate which I thought might speed up the process. I walked in to the take out area and had to wait a few minutes before someone showed up to help me. Easy to take out, not bad pizza either! – After finding Petrillos on a "top 10" list a few months back, we just had to try it. Our friends are all native East-Coasters, and we are forever looking for great pizza. We called blind (not having a take-out menu yet) and ordered a half-cheese/half-veggie large (which is rectangle and very large!), and a medium sausage/mushroom/olive. watch out, pizza for the burbs – So after reading the reviews, I thought for sure this would be the place to go. But what I found was a restaurant lacking in atmosphere and pizzas that taste like if they have been put together by some giant machine. The only "good" thing about this place is that the portions are huge and there is no way anyone can finish what they pile on.
