good california pizza, the rest is ok – We saw the good reviews so my wife and I went to give it a try. We ordered several things off the menu from appetizers to pasta to pizza (yes there were a lot of left overs). I would rate the appetizers and pasta a 5 or 6 out of 10. Good but nothing to rave over. However, the Pizza was very good. Good cheese with great sausage and pepperoni. I prefer New York or Chicago style, but for CA it's better than most. We'll be back.
Im eating Petrillos as I type – Great Pizza. Best I have had. I have been to Casa Bianca, Luigis, all of them, and this pizza is by far the best. Crust is perfect for the amount of toppings you get. The Pepperoni and Sausage are really good.
ONLY THE BEST AT PETRILLO'S – AT PETRILLO'S YOU GET ONLY THE BEST! THE PIZZA IS TO DIE FOR, THEY USE ONLY THE FRESHEST INGREDIENTS AND THEY PILE THEM ON. THE PEPPERONI IS THE MARGARITA PEPPERONI WHICH IS THE VERY BEST AVAILABLE. THEY NOT ONLY HAVE THE BEST PIZZA, BUT THE OTHER FOOD IS FANTASTIC ALSO. THEY MAKE YOU FEEL AS IF YOU ARE PART OF THIS FAMILY RUN RESTAURANT. THEIR CUSTOMERS KEEP COMING BACK, SOME SINCE THEY OPENED IN THE 1950'S. AS FOR ME, I HAVE BECOME AND WILL REMAIN A LOYAL FAN OF THIS GREAT PLACE.
Great pizza but the service is terrible! – I have been going to Petrillo's in San Gabriel since 1991 and have always been a raving fan. Within the last 6 months I gone to Petrillo's about 4 times and everytime it has been an unfavorable experience. The hostess' are very rude and unaccommodating. The service staff seem to be overwhelmed and overworked. On my last visit, my party of 4 had to wait 20 minutes to be seated when there were 4 tables visibly unoccupied. best pizza in san gabriel valley watch out for fat lazy cow servers – best pizza in san gabriel valley but the service leaves alot of room for improvement all waitresses are a bunch of lazy fat cows and both times 4/27 and 5/20/07 the watresses different but still lazy cows made me and my date wait ten minnutes after bringing bread, to get water this was only after I asked twice the same goes for the coke, even after that (wich is not bad) while I wated for my meal four beefy cows sat in the last booth eating food from sabba... read more
Petrillo's Pizza – Petrillo's pizza sauce is superb and the reason why i fell in love with their pizza. Petrillo's crust is second to none and their toppings are fresh and tasty.
There is no other – I have been going to Petrillo's since 1966...their sausage, green bell pepper, and onion pizza is the best. As far as I am concerned, there is no other pizza. Thankfully, there is one closer to my house in Glendora. I wish they would open another store in my hometown. Thanks for 40 years of great pizza!
I've been a fan of petrillo pizza since I first discovered it in 1968. I compare all pizza to petrillos. Their pizza is my standard, I have not found a better pizza yet and I doubt I ever will. If you want to taste perfection go to Petrillos. After writing this I?m going there tonight.
Where is all the negativity coming from? I love this place!!!! – I've been going to this restuarant for years and I love it. Now and days it's so hard to find a dining experience where they make you feel like you are part of the family. This is a classic, old school family run business with out all the corporate red tape. They use top of line products, made from scratch when you order, and their main concern is not how much money they're making but what kind of product they're putting on you're table.
