RecommendedPetco, McHenry, IL We have a senior Akita/Shepard mix who was in desperate need of having his nails trimmed. Set up an appointment in store to have my dog groomed. I was told we needed to bring proof of vaccinations. Arrived this morning for her appointment with proof of vaccinations. Was asked if there was anything they should know about Heidi and my husband said “she does have arthritis in her right shoulder but she’s had her Anti-inflammatory medication this morning so she should be fine”. I will not be going back,I went to the Monroe location in Toledo Weds Jan 13,2021. I went to buy a heater and some fish.The associated lack service skills, no one asked me did I need assistance, three looked me right in my eye and never bothered to ask could they assist me, so I told them that I needed assistance. I did purchase a rather expensive heater, I'm not convinced that it is working properly. I made my last visit to Petco today. I've been going there for over 20 years to refill my plastic 30 lb bins at their bulk litter station, which is the only reason I still shop at Petco, as they routinely overcharged me for canned cat food by counting the cans incorrectly. I was turned away from a grooming for my dog after being told they have a policy that they can't groom medicated dogs. I had already given her the trazodone prescribed by my vet for her anxiety etc that they ask her to have when she regularly goes in to see the vet. I wasn't informed of any policy prior to appointment and didn't see that listed. Super disappointed.
RecommendedTook our 156 lbs Newfoundland to get groomed, he came out looking AMAZING!!!! Great price for how much work they had to do on him!! We will definitely be going back!
