Unhappy Customer I purchased a female eclectus from Bird World/Pet Village in November 2009. She was hatched in June 2009. On January 5th, she died at the emergency vet, for no apparent reason. I had been feeding her the exact diet that was recommended by Bird World (pretty bird and a small amount of seed). When I first purchased her, I was told she was mean. Excellent fish selection! This place has an excellent selection of fresh and salt water fish. Prices are very resonable and competitive. Extensive selection of aquariums and other fish accessories. Staff is very friendly and helpful, not to mention educated on what they sell. PROS: Excellent selection of fish and fish supplies CONS: Small parking lot
Good Local Store We lived for almost 10 year just down the street from Bird World and my wife and kids used to walk down and visit the animals and buy supplies. 2 years ago I bought a sun conure there and it was one of the best purchases I've ever made. The employees are very friendly and the prices are the same or better than other pet stores I've been to.
Great store! I have been in Pet Village many times. My only problem is that there isn't a store in Riverton! It is an awesome, full service store with very helpful, cheerful employees. Oh, I have one more problem....When I go in the store I want to take all of the cute, playful puppies and beautiful birds home with me.
Treated poorly by Owner I was treated very poorly by the Owner of Bird World. My toddler was there to look at pets, but this is not a toddler friendly store! He basically told my friends and I we were bad parents and to get out of his store.
Avoid! My dad used to buy fish from here all the time, which seem okay. But I just went here today with my daughter looking for guinea pigs. First of all the guinea pigs all look full grown, and they had noooo idea how old they were! Unfriendly staff! The poor puppies all had watery discharge in their eyes. Let's just say I ran out of there and will not be back! I used to go there as a kid about 15 years ago and it seemed a lot better. I think I trust KSL over this place.
A Terrific Store for Pets and Supplies Over the years have bought numerous pets from this store, from lizards, snakes and fish to birds - we also buy most of our pet supplies here. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, kind and are patient with our many questions, and show a genuine affection for the animals they sell. The prices seem comparable to other pet stores, but at BWPV, you also get the knowledge and experience of the staff so hands down, this place is a winner in my book.
Great ambiance! This place is very inviting and cozy. Every time you passt his place you feel like going in side and buying something. I think I might buy something today?
