Amazing Fish Selection This is the only store I've purchased my fish from. The selection is PHENOMENAL. If you walk the aquarium aisles and don't find any fish you like, I'll be shocked. As for the other animals, they seem sickly. I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything but fish and supplies here.
Avoid! My dad used to buy fish from here all the time, which seem okay. But I just went here today with my daughter looking for guinea pigs. First of all the guinea pigs all look full grown, and they had noooo idea how old they were! Unfriendly staff! The poor puppies all had watery discharge in their eyes. Let's just say I ran out of there and will not be back! I used to go there as a kid about 15 years ago and it seemed a lot better. I think I trust KSL over this place.
One of Utah's best pet stores! Great store. The staff are light years ahead of the staff at PetCo and PetSmart box stores. They don't get their puppies from puppy mills - I have sold them dogs and I am not a puppy mill - just a breader. Kelly is their top dog on the dogs. I know these dogs get to the vet routinely and are cared for as best as can be done in a retail pet shop. They sell alot of dogs and they are healthy and helpful. This place needs to be closed!!!!! For good!!!!! Well we bought a 6 week old puppy from them he was so sick he had Giardia, Kennel Cough, Ear mites, Yeast infection in both ears, and Pneumonia. Also he was very malnourished we think he was taken from his mother too soon that's because we feel he came from a puppy mill. Our family Vet says he is lucky to be alive!!! also if you want to buy a pet from here you better make sure its pure breed. Best fish in upper Utah Ok i admit i have read the reviews about small animals like birds and puppies but i would never buy a bird or pup from anyone accept a reputable breeder. But pet village has the best fish department ive been to. they are knowledgable and know what they are talking about. I have purchased many fish from them and they were all happy and healthy. i am very pleased with this store and will continue to go there
I Will Never Ever Ever Go Back Please under no circumstances purchase a pet from this store. The store claims to not purcahse from puppy mills and proudly boasts that they use a "broker" the reality is a broker is someone who simply goes to puppy mill auctions or worse drives around the country purchasing puppies from any breeder (reputable or not). Pet Village & Bird World is Buyer Beward is Right! i'm not sure what some of these other poeple have been smoking (or have been paid to say) but this shop has some big issues with pet health. I warned a friend of mine NOT to buy birds from there. I've bought canaries, and they all struggled with health (just like their dogs have health issues) till they eventually died within the year, but she invested into one of the larger parrots anyways. Great store! I have been in Pet Village many times. My only problem is that there isn't a store in Riverton! It is an awesome, full service store with very helpful, cheerful employees. Oh, I have one more problem....When I go in the store I want to take all of the cute, playful puppies and beautiful birds home with me.
Great pet store! For all of you that think puppies at bird world are from puppy mills are crazy. One of my relatives bought a 8 week old pekineses and he is doing fine. If it suffers from many problems it isn't companies fault it is the knowledgeable breeder. I've bought animals from here for many years and think it has good variety in pets and supplies.
