The worst customer service! Ihave been going back and forth with Mohawk for over a year now about how bad the Tentree engineered flooring looks and performs, and they have never offered to have someone come out and even look at it. They want me to work with the retailer and they both just point the finger back at the other. We only had a small sample to look at at the realtors office when we purchased our 2,200 sq. ft. condo, and unfortunately we had it installed throughout the entire unit. There are about three different sh... read more

Horrible customer service! They make you jump through hoops to file a claim and then they just deny it. I bought a new construction home 3 years ago and Mohawk carpeting was installed. It's supposed to have a ten year warranty as long as you fall within the guidelines such as having it steam cleaned and no excessive wear which I followed under. The carpet started to buckle pretty badly and they tried to tell me that's normal in humid climates which I'm not. In fact I'm in one of the driest regions. Also furniture and usage w... read more

I purchased Mohawk carpet with life proof and pet proof warranty. I will be replacing Capet due to pet urine stains which should have been covered. They are declining my claim bc I didn't get it steamed cleaned after the first 12-18 months when there was no stains/spills to clean. I paid the extra money for the warranty and they won't hold their end of the deal. I don't understand. I did not have the first inspector come bc ** never sent one out. They just asked me questions. and filed a claim. I have called Mohawk to talk t... read more

I would give them 0 stars if it was possible. In August, 2019 I purchased over $10,000 of Mohawk vinyl manufactured flooring from ** Flooring in ** (Defined Beauty vinyl tile-Coronado), which was installed before the end of 2019 in a "high end" oceanfront home for a major renovation. Immediately I discovered the surface was soft and prone to scratching, much more so than the floor I was replacing. I gave the dealer a sample of the flooring to pass on to his rep to test to see if it was defective. Shortly after the first of ... read more

Terrible customer service and product. They do not stand behind their product and always find a way to tell you there are no defects it's user error. My flooring is less than 3 months old and stains are showing everywhere. The rep suggested we don't wear shoes in the house (What a joke) and the so called water proof flooring should be cleaned right away as if we live in a pig sty. This product does not stand behind its warranty and guarantees nothing. They send you retired inspectors that never worked on Vinyl floors and kno... read more

Business response:

Hello Ms. H, thank you for the opportunity to assist with your concerns, and I apologize for your experience with your floors. The claim was declined as the marks are removable. Marks may be caused by buildup of soap-based cleaning products on the floor. This buildup will attract and hold any debris. To remove buildup from cleaning products, mix 1/4 cup of household ammonia with 1 quart of distilled water in a mist bottle. Mist a microfiber mop head, and mop the floor (microfiber is non-abrasive and helps remove soap buildup... read more

Horrible - both the product and the customer service. We purchased Pergo flooring with a lifetime residential warranty four years ago during a major kitchen remodel done by a professional contractor. Our flooring began to chip and pit last spring. I made claim with retailer as directed - sent all info including pictures, receipts, contractor info. Mohawk replied to retailer stating they would send me two boxes of flooring - that was in June. Obviously two boxes of floor does nothing to actually fix the problem. It has been s... read more

Business response:

Hello Ms. B, I apologize for your experience with your floors, and thank you for the opportunity to assist you. We have checked your claim, and it did not have a record of an inspection being performed by a Mohawk-commissioned third-party inspector. Could you send us more information about the inspection that you mention in your review? You can send any info to consumer@mohawkind.com. I apologize again for your experience.

I got carpet installed by 50 Floor and not even 4 months later the carpet has deteriorated completely. I contacted dealer and they said they had to file a claim with the manufacturer, Mohawk Industries, and Mohawk came back and said to even come out and inspect the carpet, I had to get my carpet professionally cleaned. They are not taking responsibility for their poor product and are pushing the responsibility onto me, as the consumer. I fell down the basement stairs and I am pregnant. This is lawsuit waiting to happen.

Business response:

Mohawk claim number 7826629. We will reach out to dealer to discuss the claim further.

We recently (5/2/20) installed in our den 72 yds of brand-new Mohawk Quarterage SmartStrand carpet over the Mohawk recommended Mohawk Smart Step Cushion pad. The appearance of the carpet is hideous and is totally unsuitable for installation in a home (PICs 3 & 4, & VIDEO). Furthermore, the appearance (i) is vastly different from the sample provided by Mohawk (PIC1), and (ii) is equally different from the depiction on Mohawk's web site (PIC2). This is a classic example of illegal "bait and switch" marketing tactics. After ... read more

Mohawk's flooring is toxic. I bought what I was told is the highest quality laminate they make, and even 10 weeks after installation, I cannot be in my apartment without experiencing symptoms of formaldehyde poisoning. When I go there, it is difficult for me to breathe, my eyes sting, and my throat hurts. This has caused me to be homeless for the past 2 months. I have filed a claim and they've agreed to apply a credit towards new floors, but they have been unclear regarding coverage of the labor to remove my floors and repla... read more
