The worst service. Brought our car for ONE tire to be put on at 9 am. Still sitting here at 7 pm. Called several times throughout the day and the nasty receptionist kept saying it was being worked on. It’s a wonder they have crappy ratings. They are clueless on how to do business and treat customers.
Just paid to purchase 4 tires since they needed to be replaced. I asked for an inspection too since I was overdue. They looked at the car and I needed brakes w/rotors, rear suspension and a wheel alignment. They wanted to charge me $2600. $1000 just for the breaks. That is absolutely insane. Terrible service!!! How do you not know how to manage a repair shop?! Had an appointment at 2:30, drop car off. 3:15, get call “sorry can’t help you, we don’t have time”. How do you not know in 45 minutes that you can’t do 4 tires?! Give me a break!!! Bunch of novices!
I had a 2pm appointment for 4 new tires. I’m sitting here at 5pm still no car. I was told it shouldn’t be too much longer. When I walked in the guy says, Oh 4 tires, that will take a while. I almost feel insulted sitting in this waiting area surrounded by piles of tires! I just hope nothing is messed up on my car. Definitely not coming back to this Pepboys.
RecommendedI feel as though most people do not like pep boys and are always complaining, however besides one experience that was less then great I have don’t have any complaints and have been going there for years. The staff have always been super friendly and helpful and have never tried to nickel and dime me. Overall I can’t complain!
The staff were super helpful. I also like that they will run my check engine diagnostic without a charge.
At 8:00 this evening I went to Pep Boys in Patchogue, NY to get a tire plugged. We were told to speak to the manager to see if it was possible to get it done. We explained our situation and the manager said we would have to come back in the morning. This manager was extremely rude and definitely needs to be retrained in customer service. I spoke to the manager of the store and was told they stop taking cars in at 8:15 and I arrived at 8:00 so although the manager agreed with me I left without my tire being fixed. Train wreck. 2 1/2 hrs for an oil change is unacceptable. The kid forgot to put the oil filter in and caused a disaster in the undercarriage of my Jeep. Total incompetence at the management level. Wasted my whole afternoon with my car in the lift for a job that should’ve taken 15 min.
