Beware of their deceptive practices! My sister dropped off her car for full set tire installation. The man at the counter told her that the total price would be $816.75. When it was asked, why so much, they said it was the cost of installation, recycling fee, shop fee, and additional charges that he couldn't explain; however, he could "take it down by $50", telling her it would then be $750. Last year I paid for a diagnostic and they told me to get new engine mounts on a 2015 Kia. I ordered the parts. Took the car to the dealer and they told me my engine mounts are fine with no signs of any kind of damage. Pepboys still charged me restocking fees when I canceled the order next day. Forgot to post this yesterday, but I just wanted to give a shout to the staff at Pepboys in Springfield.I had made an appointment on Friday for what I thought was Monday, but I guess I made it for Saturday. They will take hours to change your tires even if you have appointment set up days in advance. They’ll also scratch your rims and tires like crazy and what is funny is when I was waiting in the lobby. Someone before me was also complaining about his rims being scratched like crazy. So it’s not only me. They’re scratching so many rims just in 1 day and I drive a 2021 vehicle which shouldn’t have any scratches at all so that’s great that I have to deal with this. I just want to give a shout out to the lovely staff of this location of pep boys! Specifically however I would like to recognize Jaadan. Yesterday while on a day trip from Ontario for a little mother daughter shopping trip - we found ourselves with a flat tire. After waiting almost 2 hours for AAA on a bright sunny day in September- Jaadan rescued us by changing the tire over to the donut and got us on our way back to Ontario! Thank you Jaadan from the bottom of my heart you saved the day!
Pep Boys did me a real solid yesterday! My wife and I noticed one of her back tires was really low and had a nail in it while on the way to visit our daughter in the NICU. Despite being extra busy, Pep Boys took me right in and took care of it immediately with a permanent plug fix. Thanks so much for helping get us back on the road!
Walk in at 7:45 and out at 8:15. They were wonderful.
