Made my appointment online, showed up 5 minutes early, dropped my car off for a slow leak in one of the tires, walked next door, ate lunch, went back to the store, sat around for another hour, asked for my keys back, asked them if they were going to charge me for parking my car there for two hours and left. This is by far the worst experience we’ve had with a mechanic shop. There is a long back story involving poor customer service, mis diagnosing the initial problem, sending notices that the car was finished before it was and asking that we no longer use the app and communicate with them directly, and on and on but the worst was charging for a NEW battery and alternator and after a nightmare of dealing with them and getting the car 2 days after promised- the car wouldn’t start after being driven for one hour. I was in there last week for an oil change. Been using this shop for the last few years. When done I was given a laundry list of things wrong with my car on top of the housing piece that needed replacing. I brought my car to another shop today, the tires are not dry rotted, I dont need brakes or rotors. They checked the oil today too and it was a quart low as they did not put the oil plug back in properly. I will never go back and I suggest everyone stay away. Moreno Valley, California Apt 1:00 O'clock August 25,2023 Drop vehicle off at 1:00 p.m. appointment time I had to call the service department around 4:25 p.m. I was told there were two other vehicles ahead of my vehicle because my vehicle had not been seen or inspected yet! Avoid the Eatontown NJ Pep boys location at all costs!!! I had an appointment scheduled to have brakes and tires done at 12 PM. I was told the car would be finished by 4 PM. By 5 PM the car was not finished and I heard the Store Manager on the phone and it was apparent they did NOT have the parts needed to repair my car, even though the mechanic had pulled my car brakes apart and was waiting to do the repair. They really should call it USPS/Amazon Boys because that is who they serve. Came on Saturday and was told that they could not take me because there were 8 post office vehicles and 5 Amazon vehicles in their lot. They said I should make an appointment and weekdays were better. So I took half a day off from work the following Tuesday and set up an appointment for 8:00 am. When I arrived I was told that they needed to reschedule because they were having 18 Amazon vehicles come through for oil changes. I will never go there agai... read more

Unprofessional. Submitted license plate info wrong so couldn’t get vehicle registered after bogus inspection. Ethan Goober refused to be accountable. Ethan Goober needs a reality check. I was told to “talk to Pep Boys” and then Ethan Goober hung up on me. I called in a complaint file with Customer Relations. It would have been my pleasure to have the ability to give -10 stars. The person by the name of DJ has a complete racist attitude. I’ve only asked her questions and she went out of her way to be so condescending. I understand that there are people that may treat her with some disrespect, but it’s unacceptable to project that onto patrons of the business. Over one month ago I brought my car in as it had engine light on and was lurching and shaking some. They had the car for two days and told me it was some tuneup parts package and tuneup and cost was $777. I thought they fixed my car as this is what I was told so I paid out of pocket almost another $300 for two new tires.
