False advertising on free battery installation. Paid 144.00 for the battery with free installation and then they pull the car in and start taking my battery out and proceed to tell me it is now going to cost 150.00 for installation and shop charges.
I dropped my car off for an inspection this morning at 7am, I was the second person in the store. I was told that my car would be done by noon. I just called and I was told it would be done by end of day. An inspection takes half an hour at most, this is ridiculous.
I normally do not have an issue here. This time I have been back four(4) times for the same issue. This is becoming a real problem.
Time estimate was off but overall great Enjoyed the time there
Personally, I loved my experience here. I came here expecting to spend close to five hundred dollars after my dealership told me I shoukd replace all four of my tires due to one nail in the sidewall of one of my rear tires. Well, I came to Pep Boys and the mechanic, Casey, came out and told me there was nothing wrong with my tires other than a small screw that could be patched. I greatly appreciated spending only a fraction kf the cost the dealership was trying to scam me out of!
Rip off, overcharging for work that doesn't need to be done
Never and I mean never take your car to PEP Boys. My daughter scheduled an appointment 2 days ago to get new tires and when she got here today at 11:45 they "couldn't find" one of the tires and had to get it from another store, long story short it's now 6 o'clock and her car still isn't ready. The people here are rude and do not have ANY respect for their customers. We definitely won't be making the mistake of bringing our cars here or purchasing anything from them ever again.
My husband took his company car to Pep Boys on Thursday 23 June for an oil change. Other than it took all day to change the oil in a 4 cylinder; they left him nice greasy hand prints all over the hood of the car. All I can say is "Thank You Pep Boys for taking such good care of the car" (not)
