We had a little too much excitement in our family the week of Nov 7th. My cousin was walking her dog on the morning of Nov 7th. She was struck by a car and was transported to HMC Trauma unit with multiple broken bones and other injuries. The next night my 84 y.o. father was stopped in traffic on Rt 15 and was rear ended by a van going 50 to 60mph. His car was totaled and he was transported to HMC Trauma unit with back injuries. Back on December 6th of 2015 my pager goes off for a car accident with entrapment I run with the fire rescue crew at Juniata County I pull up on the scene and I find it to my daughter in the car she was laying out there in a farm field for 5 hours she was rushed to Hershey Medical Center by ambulance due to the fog but could not land a helicopter she spent 39 days in intensive care unit and 3 weeks in Hershey Rehabilitation Center to this day he is the same girl sitting next to me as she was the day before her accident she h... read more
The staff is great! They're loving, caring, and really nice! Their helicopter arrived very quickly, and the overall experience was great!!!

My 3 year old son had open heart surgery Friday morning to repair 2 holes in his heart. The first 36 hours were tough but he was playing and walking on day 2. Dr. Clarke is an amazing surgeon and every single member of the staff was thorough, attentive and caring. We just got home 3 days later and I am so relieved its over. The hours waiting, we expected to be nervous and scared but somehow the staff was able to leave us feeling calm and optimistic. Will recommend it to anyone who needs it.
Can't say enough good things about the plastic surgery team (Christina Jones and Brandon) and doctors who treated my son who came in via ambulance from Chambersburg PA for a sever hand injury resulting in 3 hrs worth of bedside surgery to repair his 3middle fingers. What a great experience! Highly recommend this hospital for any emergency.
