It's been a long time since my stay at the Hersey Medical Center Children's Hospital, but I have to say that the team there saved my life back in 2002 when I was 17 years old. At that time, I was admitted in a comatose state after an infection caused viral encephalitis. My dear family were terrified of losing me, especially after I was misdiagnosed at the first hospital that I had been taken to. The staff at the children’s hospital was amazing! We could not have been happier. Lindsey from child life and our nurses Ashley and Holly Lobb were amazing! We were happy to leave but sad to be leaving them! Thank you for making our sons stay as pleasant as possible!
Their doctors in the E.R. have no regard for their patients whatsoever, can't return calls or emails or anything. Leaves patients in limbo and treats them like dirt. Go to Lancaster General, you may wait longer, but you'll have a doc that cares about you and your opinion.
Spent 2 weeks in the hospital, and can't say enough about the excellent care received from ED all the way to surgery and the 4th floor. Caring, sensitive nursing staff and excellent physicians!!
