I had great care from everyone after I was admitted from the ER.
My wife, Denise went in for a total hip replacement. From the team in pre op to the team on the fifth floor my wife received fantastic care. Your kindness and attentiveness was greatly appreciated. You all rock!
I know there are a lot of people that do not like St. Joe Hospital. My husband was hospitalized there for 21 days 5 yrs ago. He had complications following a surgery he had to remove a toe that was infected. The nursing staff took Very Good care of him. They treated me Great as well. I stayed with him and they were Great about that also. My mother in law passed away while my husband was in the hospital. He had family and friends from in, out of town. I'll have to say the billing department for the medical group has gone way downhill. First, they processed my payment incorrectly TWICE!! Instead of informing me there was a problem they tried to send me to collections. Of course, I was not given any info on this. Then, 6 months later they finally called to tell me they couldn't process payment but it was too late anyway because I had been sent to collections (that's how I found out). Nurses were great and very friendly. Stayed one night overnight, treated for cellulitis and contact dermatitis. First doctor I had was kind of a jerk; made me feel like I was lying about symptoms that i wasn't hanging. Other doctor I dealt with was amazing however
Had an out patient procedure done, and Jennifer was my pre-op nurse. Made me very comfortable, and set me at ease. Had me and my friend laughing the whole time.
Recently had the worst experience of my life. Had to go in for surgery here and somehow they turned the entire situation around. Every single person on the operation floor was amazing. Even the staff I only passed in the hall were smiling and made me feel better about my situation. I'm still in recovery for what happened to me, but today I got to smile again when I opened my mailbox and had a card sent to me from everyone who helped with my procedure and prep. I will always come back to this hospital. ❤
