He truly cares about his patients. And when he tells you he can help you, he means it. He gave me functionality back in my life.
I was impressed by the way Dr. O'Leary showed concern for my condition, he is very personable and spent the time needed going over everything with me. I didn't feel rushed. I wish more doctors were like that.

I feel Dr O’Leary wants to figure out what is wrong before he gives a treatment plan , and he communicates with you what he’s thinking and asks you if you have any input which shows he’s there to help you and not just rush through and prescribe this or that and do surgery which may or may not work .
Dr.O’Leary was very interested in all of the questions I had. He spent a lot of time with me and explained the surgery I would need to repair my back. He is very personable!
This physician has no bed side manners. didn't offer treatment at all just gave me his card and said "call me when you can't stand it anymore." He told me I had scoliosis and didn't address my herniated disc at all. I went to another surgeon and he said I didn't have scoliosis at all.
Dr. O’Leary performed a 3 level lumbar spinal fusion. By far the best Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. I came from the Quad Cities for him to do my surgery. Took the time to explain all the scenarios. Cares about what he does, and the health of the patient. Highly recommend.
Dr. O'Leary did my back surgery in 2018 and I had instant relief down my leg. I had suffered for several years. I researched doctors in my area and I choose him because he specializes in spine surgery. He is very kind and listened to me. He asked what I hoped to accomplish from surgery and I said my life back, to be able to play with my grand kids and walk for miles without pain. Dr. Patrick O'Leary did back surgery on my wife in 2012, afterwards as her pain and issues continued she reached out to Dr.O'Leary and his staff. They seemed not to care and wouldn't return her calls. My wife had been a nurse for quite some time before this and was quite taken back by the way she was treated. It was like " I've did all I can and he proceeded to wash his hands of her". She has been in severe pain ever since with a great limitation to her quality of life......
