We love how a steaming bowl of pasta warms your hands as well as your spirits. We love the sound a cork makes when it nudges away from the bottle. Using responsibly sourced ingredients, we craft craveable dishes with a local sensibility that is true to our roots. wonderful!!! – they have a butternut squash pasta plate that is to die for
Dem dere pasta – I agree, Very good food for bargain prices. The pastas were splendid.
Overrated! – I was surprised to see so many "10" ratings, especially from earlier, so my high expectations were muted somewhat when the food hit the taste buds and my other senses absorbed the surroundings. This is not to say that the food was bad or the dining experience was regrettable, but rather I think some reviews just had a little too much wine :D Levity aside, the place packed a good crowed even during a weekday and the chatter level was quite high. The food was very enjoyable and the service was good, despite the bu... read more
Night out with 40yr old cuz – "Loud, bustling and sauted garlic in oil. An environment in which long lost family can get to know you through reminicent stories and amusing jokes. All the while enjoying a variety of tantalizing entres all under ten dollars." -Abe A.
Crowded? Noisy? Great! – A great place to go out on the cheap for good pasta. I try to go at least once a week and I'm never dissapointed. Consistent quality, service and food. If you don't mind a crowded and noisy resturaunt, it's good stuff =). Note: Wait times are about 15-40 minutes on average, so bring a coat!
Bring your earplugs – The food was good and the price is right, but I have never been in a noisier restaurant. They have packed the maximum number of people in to a very small space and provided nothing that might absorb sound, the result is a painfull dining experiance. However if you are deaf and love Italian food, this could become your favorite restaurant.
Pastini own my heart – I ejoy the food and the atmosphere that this pasta resteraunt has. They have killer salads and the chicken sandwitch is to die for. It is not too expensive, but an amazing meal. The surrounding area is fun to walk around in as well.
WHAT VALUE? – Sure it's convenient and who doesn't love pasta? But you have to wait forever for a table and whaddaya mean it's a great value? I think they're overpriced. Why should pasta be that expensive? Server was nice, though.
a delight within walking distance – Close to home, and offers delectable food. Be prepared for lines most days. Also be prepared for pasta that is luscious and worth the wait. Cozy atmosphere, and good choices for dinner. It's best feature is that it's within walking distance of several northeast Portland neighborhoods. Try it, and you'll make it a favorite.
