Great Food at a Great Price – I went to Pastini for a quick business lunch last week and had a good experience. The service and food were both great. Our server was both knowledgeable and attentive. I started off with the Roasted Artichoke spread with Bruschetta. This wasn’t Olive Garden style Bruschetta…the ingredients were obviously fresh and not frozen, making for a great appetizer. For my main entrée, I had a Tomato & Mozzarella Grilled Panini. Just like the previous mentioned item, the Panini was piping hot, and the Moz... read more

Not good – Went in here on a hot afternoon and ordered salad - I know it's a pasta joint but it was too hot for pasta. Was seated at one of the raised booths along the wall, the table was so insanely wobbly we dared not drink our water. Requested another table which was met with much tutting by the staff; moved to a regular table with comments from same staff about moving us back to the wobbly one once it was fixed . The restaurant was empty apart from 3 other tables so I don't understand what the big deal was. Salad arrived... read more

Business response:

Just saw this review, norcal1, and I am so very sorry you had this experience at Pastini. Both the ungracious service and the wilted salad are inexcusable! I have shown this to our managerment team there and they will be re-training staff in response to your review. Again, our profound apologies! Susie B., co-owner.

Great food, service and location! – I went to Pastini for lunch and had a warm welcome from the server. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, and the food is great comfort food at a reasonable price, and less than other pasta places. I had the Capellini Pomodoro with fresh tomatoes, garlic and basil. The Insalata Vedure has a delicious roasted tomato vinagrette. This Pastini is close to Lloyd Center, so a quick trip to the mall is easy before heading back out to work. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for ... read more

Poor Service – This is a favorite neighborhood restaurant of ours. We have been frequenting it almost weekly since its opening several years ago. We have used Pastini for catering, purchased gift cards as gifts, and all in all have been very satisfied and happy customers. Tonight my husband and I stopped in after a long and busy week to have a quiet Friday night dinner. We asked for a booth and were told by the hostess that she would clear one and seat us immediately. We were the only party waiting. While the booth was being... read more

Pastini- Best bet for affordable Italian – We think Pastini is the best deal around and in such an upscale atmosphere. I really like that I can get whole wheat pasta or gluten-free substituted with any of the pasta dishes as well as lots of vegetarian selections. It seems like whoever we take there can find something to fit their diet. The servers are all so friendly and the service is prompt but not rushed. My parents are restaurant snobs and they were impressed. It's hard to believe that most entrees are under $10. Try the... read more

Pasta-rrific at Pastini! – Pastini has great pasta choices at a great price! We go to the Broadway Pastini and love the inviting atmosphere. The lasagna has a hearty meat sauce with mushrooms, and plenty of cheese. There is something for everyone with lots of vegetarian options, and you can substitute wheat free or gluten free pasta, too! This local eatery even serves up local Pearl Bakery bread! Pasta plates are about ten dollars, which is a real deal!

Perfect Lunch Spot – We went to Pastini and had a great lunch! First, we were greeted warmly by our friendly server. The menu has so many choices of pasta that are around $8.95, which is a great deal for lunch or dinner. We had a large Spinach Salad and a large Gorgonzola Chicken Insalata. Both were plentiful and delicious. The sandwiches sound great too, like the Grilled Portobello Panini and the more classic Meatball Sandwich. We are definitely coming back for those soon!

Yuck! – Seriously, this place is disgusting. I ordered rigatoni in a vodka sauce and the dish was worse than expected for a chain restaurant with little soul. The vodka sauce was watery and runny and the rigatoni was slimy and overcooked. My boyfriend got the baked ziti and the sausage was gray and rubbery. It was more like a hot dog than a piece of sausage. The ziti was mushy. The salad and bread were the best things we ate and they were mediocre at best. The decor is tacky and the meals are way overpriced. If you are looki... read more
