Hyundai agreed to honor the recall on our Sonata, after the engine locked up and ruined the starter, even though the car was over the mileage cut-off because we bought it used and were not informed of the recall. After getting the parts replaced, the "New" starter lasted 3 weeks and started giving us trouble. The response from the Service Dept. was "It is what it is". We were told that since they honored the recall when they really didn't have to that it didn't matter if the starter lasted or didn't. There is a LOT more to t... read more
