By far the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Worse than cable companies and that takes effort. Their off-shore call center phone customer dis-service center is in place to buffer their actual shore based employees from receiving the deluge of complaints they would receive. Just a deplorably bad, poorly run company.
I ran out of gas and had to request a emergency delivery. I was charged a separate fee which I do not have a problem with them charging. I am new to propane heat and did not realize how fast it would be consumed so it was my fault. What I do have a problem with is the amount of the extra fee. The add on fee for the emergency delivery was $300 on top of the cost of the propane of $669. Almost a 50% upcharge which seems excessive and seems like price gouging.
just paid final bill that I don't think I owed tank was empty and disconnected. wanted to take it back myself but was told due to COVID no one was there. Tried to contact main office by phone and email several times about this bill but no reply. Got another bill stating they were going add late fees. We live in the mountains of Colorado, where the winter temp is often below zero. Our home has been an Amerigas customer for many years. For the last three years, we have paid Amerigas to "check and fill" our tank - promising to deliver propane when our 350 gal tank gets below 20%. For the last six months, Amerigas has not checked our tank (I know because we have security cameras) and has allowed it to drop below 5% - requiring me to monitor our tank and literally beg them for a delivery to avoid running out of heat and havin... read more
They aquired a local company as we were leaving that company. We called them to come pickup our rented tank (our original contact had no fee to pickup) there was no mention of a $75 fee either. I have tried contacting them multiple times via phone, waiting on hold for over an hour on 3 separate occasions, never connected with a representative. Amerigas is lying cheating people I’m a disabled mother my children have issues also on the 13th I run out of propane I keep calling every day and they keep telling lies is now the 27th and nothing no heat no hot water sadly the furnace and water heater are propane every day I’ve called and waited 30 minutes or more to get lied too I wish a lot of us could sue them for pain and suffering mentally
Propane was delivered when I wasn't home. Driver locked the tank at that time - explanation from customer care days later was that my tank was too low, so the driver filled the tank and left. No communication - didn't know that my tank was locked until I went to take a shower this morning and had no hot water. No hot water, no heat, no oven. It took so long to get propane at our office, I believe we'd have got more action waiting on fumes from fracking! Undeniably the worst customer service ever. They tell you "it's on the way within 72 hours" but of course it never arrives. Constantly put on hold, or hang up. Our local propane company was bought out by these losers. The office has since been closed with a supervisor and a delivery truck, so we have to rely on the insufferable customer service agents to complete an order. I’m waiting for a delivery since Jan 7th When I spoke to customer service today they can’t even tell me where the trucks are and if the drivers have my ticket.They told we have 3 drivers in my county omg my county is Hugh. When we had the office here we just called them and they knew when the driver would be here and being on auto fill we never had to worry about it. Been with them 25 years never had a problem until now. I’m going to buy my 500 gallon tank and get a new provider I can’t take the chance of running out
