My elderly parents have been on a monthly scheduled delivery for many years. Amerigas failed to deliver the monthly allotment in January. My parents ran out of gas and were without heat for two days. Amerigas made multiple promises of delivery and failed to follow up. They don't respond to emails or inquires. We just purchased a house and the tank that the previous owners had rented from Amerigas for years was completely rusted and a horrible eye sore. I had called Amerigas to see if they could swap out the tank since it was in such bad shape. She said yes, we discussed the annual rental and the cost of propane. Tank gets swapped out and we get a bill for $298, the fees to change the tank. I am upset that it was never disclosed that it was going to cost us that much just to swap it out. 4th day with no propane. It's below freezing out and can't seem to get a delivery from Amerigas despite daily calls to customer service. I would avoid doing business with this company.
The absolute worst! I'd select zero stars if I could. Recently, we appeared to have NO propane and called. Our tank has one of those monitors that provides the company with info about how full the tank is and was told that our tank was about 70% full (online account said 72%), so it must be something else, perhaps the regulator, and that they would send someone to see what was going on. If I could give this company a zero star I would! They have put my family in Life threatening situations with their negligence.
This company is HORRIBLE! Literally EVERY month I have to spend hours on the phone trying to schedule a propane delivery to my home well after levels in the tanks fall dangerously low, according to them! There's always some BS excuse. I've even has a driver start to pull in my driveway, and then stop and drive away, claiming to his boss that our driveway wasn't plowed of snow. Which it WAS! This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with! Delivery window was missed (no appointment time was given, only an 2 WEEK window). From there daily calls to customer service with lengthy waits and untrue runaround information, with promises of delivery that never came. This was an order that had been prepaid for 3 weeks at this point. I've had find to another service to fill my tank since it had become an emergency due to the delay, while Amerigas still has my money as I wait for an alleged refund!!!
This company scheduled to have a tank delivered on February 6th. Never received confirmation nor did we ever get in touch with someone. Every time I called I would be on hold for an hour only to be transferred to someone else because they didn’t have an answer. TWO hours later they stated delivery would be pushed out a month. They keep bringing me refills i dont order and im being billed for it. Now we suspect a leak and have made 3 phone calls (over hour long) and still a week of no propane. My family with a 2 year old in our home in mid winter and we have no heat, no hot water, and no stove. In regards to their overseas call center, i cannot understand them and they are USELESS. Praying we someone actually shows tomorrow to check our tank and fill us back up. Cant wait, we are getting on natural gas lines early next year
