PAPPAS BROTHERS STEAKHOUSE IS THE BEST STEAKHOUSE IN TEXAS WHICH IS ALSO AFFORDABLE, BEST ENVIRONMENT, FOOD TEXAS CAN HAVE
Pricey But Worth It – My husband and I spent $100.00 easily, even without wine or drinks, but found the steak to be the best we'd ever eaten. The filets were cooked to perfection and delicately seasoned. Melted in our mouths. Everything is al a carte, and if you want more than just meat, you'll have to pay extra, but the service is delightfully unintrusive. Here you can actually have a quiet conversation without someone constantly interrupting you to ask "Is everything all right?" Perfect for a special occasion, such as an a... read more
The best by far – We were a business party of 3. Again the best steaks were served, one of us had the filet, one other had the rib eye and I had the 18 oz. strip. Without a doubt, these are indeed the best steaks in the southwest by far.
Best steakhouse in Houston – I've eaten at every "good" steakhouse in Houston and firmly believe Pappas Bros. to be the best. The steaks (especially the filets) are always perfectly seasoned and prepared; the side-dishes (especially the au gratin potatoes) are mouth-watering; the wine list is incredible. Service is competent and professional, although not warm and fuzzy, and the bartenders mix great cocktails. Yes, Pappas is pricey and perhaps best enjoyed while on an expense account, and the noise level means that this is n... read more
Noisey but wonderful food – We were there during a weeknight and found the place too noisey. When it comes to these prices, it's not about the food it is about service. A table of 40 was seated and I found myself yelling to talk to my husband! Upon complaining, we were seated in the wine room. Our evening was exceptional thereafter. Unless, I can be seated in the wine room, I will not return.
Great Steakhouse – Wonderful food, excellent side orders, pricey wine, and too noisy (a trait of all Pappas' establishments). Be prepared to "float the note" it's gonna cost you some big bucks for dinner and if you take advantage of their amazing wine list, you better mortgage the ranch!!
Mind blowing ! – Had a mind blowing dinner at Pappas Bros Steakhouse with a freind. Crabcakes were plump with big lumps of meat..served on a crispy bed of noodles. Lobster (market price - $85/medium) was really good..the meat so delicious and sweet....The filet Mignon ($30) was magnificent...char broiled medium rare seasoned with cracked black pepper and kosher salt in melted butter with finely minced chives.....side dishes of sauted mushrooms were so juicy, and plump, and tender green stalks of asparagus. Mmmmmm mmmm...Serv... read more
My wife and I went for our last anniversery. The service was perfect. The waiter was very subtle in his approach and was not intimidating. Wonderful Crabcakes and the Creme Brulee was excellent. My Rib Eye was done rare, just the way I like it.
Ummm GOOD!!! – The Filet mignon is impeccable! It is soft, tender, and juicy. Worth every bit of the 30.00! :)
