The park was awesome, the cliff you have to drive next to in my mind did not have enough or any railing at some locations, one mistake and over you go
My husband and I went for our nine year anniversary celebration. Palo Duro Canyon state park is awesome for spending quality time together. It really makes you feel like you are live in the nature! I will recommend for any family go there for spend family time together. We stayed in the cabin. It was really comfortable. There will no Wi-Fi or services. It's awesome!! It was just as beautiful as it was 30 years ago! Breathtaking views and super nice people. We loved the horseback riding, just wish had been longer. Thank you for a great experience!!!
Love it from the moment we drove in. Loved being awaken by the turkeys in the morning, loved hearing the coyotes at night, and loved seeing deers walk by and stop and stare at us. Did the paseo del rio and lighthouse hike, words can't described it. We'll be back this summer over and over again. We tent camp, but next time we will bring our rv and stay longer.
Unbelievable beauty. Can't believe I waited this long to see it. Definitely coming back.
My kids (9 and 13) said it is better then Disney!! Beautiful ans exciting adventure! Went during March, and the weather was PERFECT!!!
A nice couple that we met in New Mexico told us about Palo Duro.That's some of the best advice I've ever been given! ! We had an awesome time. Will definitely go back.It's beautiful there and the trails were great.
Beautiful, dramatic, awe inspiring, majestic and incredible! The trails are all maintained really well and the facilities were clean and in good shape. The burgers at the Trading Post are indeed some of the world's best as advertised! Every member of the park staff and volunteer I met were super nice and helpful. I would like to give a special thanks to the park superintendent Shannon Blalock for allowing me to do a special project. She was extremely gracious and accommodating and I'm extremely grateful!
